Licence & Billing Policy

Your billing model is determined by the country of your billing address at checkout, and is shown to you on the pricing and checkout pages before you pay.

• India — a one-time licence purchase with the first year of AMC included, then a manual annual AMC. Clauses 2–5 apply to you.
• Outside India — a yearly subscription. No AMC is charged to you at any point. Clauses 6–9 apply to you.

SamLab Express, Pro and Executive are one-time licence purchases — you pay once at checkout for the licence, and your first year of AMC is included in that price. There is no recurring subscription and no automatic payment mandate: we do not store your card or auto-charge it. Every payment is a one-off charge you confirm yourself, processed through our payment provider, Razorpay.

• From year 2 onward, an annual AMC keeps your licence updated and supported. The AMC amount for each plan is shown on the pricing page.
• AMC is renewed manually each year — we remind you before expiry and you choose to renew. We never auto-charge a saved card.
• Optional add-ons (e.g. LIS analyzer activations, the Android edition) are priced separately and shown before you confirm.

All prices are shown on the pricing page before you confirm. The amount charged is the one-time licence fee (and any add-ons you select). The first year of AMC is included at no cost and is not part of that charge — AMC becomes payable only at your first renewal, one year after your licence is issued. Prices will not change for a purchase you have already completed.

Prices are exclusive of GST. GST at 18% is added at checkout and itemised before you pay. The same applies to every AMC renewal: the AMC figures shown on the pricing page are the amounts before GST.

SamLab is offline-first, so the desktop app keeps running through a built-in grace period if your AMC isn’t renewed on time. If the AMC is not renewed, you keep using your installed version but stop receiving updates and priority support until you renew, which you can do at any time.

If your billing address is outside India, SamLab Express, Pro and Executive are sold as a yearly subscription. You pay one price per year for your plan, and no Annual Maintenance Contract is charged to you at any time — updates and support are included in the subscription for as long as it is active.

• The subscription renews automatically every 12 months until you cancel it. Razorpay notifies you before each renewal charge.
• The Android edition, if selected, is billed as part of the same yearly subscription.
• LIS analyzer activations remain a one-time purchase and are not part of the recurring amount.

Prices are shown in your local currency on the pricing page and again at checkout before you confirm. Conversion uses live exchange rates, so the exact amount in your currency may vary slightly between the page and the charge. Your renewal is taken at the then-current price for your plan; we will notify you before any price change affecting a renewal.

You may cancel at any time from your account page or by emailing support@samlab.in. Cancellation stops future renewals; your subscription remains active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and the software continues to work for that period. We do not pro-rate part-years.

Because there is no auto-renewal or saved-card mandate, there is nothing to cancel — you simply choose whether to renew your AMC each year. For a licence change, transfer or refund, contact us at support@samlab.in or from your account page. See our Cancellation Policy for details.

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. In particular, if a payment succeeds but a licence cannot be issued, the charge is refunded automatically.
